We will soon announce the Editorial Committee for this year’s PITCH COPRO SERIES

The Editorial Committee of PITCH COPRO SERIES of Conecta FICTION 2 was formed by professional experts coming from the audiovisual industry of both continents. This Editorial Committee reviewed and evaluated the international coproduction projects of series and mini-series received and ,made a final selection of 10 projects that were pitched during the PITCH COPRO SERIES session which took place during the event (June 19 to 21, 2018).

The Editorial Committee of Conecta FICTION´s second edition was formed by:

PATRICIA ARPEA Head of Legal & Business Affairs. Publispei (Italy)

She is a veteran of entertainment / media industry with over 25 years of experience. Currently, she is Head of Legal & Business Affairs at Publispei. Previously at Publispei, she played different roles in all fields of production: from light entertainment to drama series and from animation to feature films. Publispei has been a leading company in the TV market for over 40 years. Year after year Publispei changes and innovates the Italian TV production with over 850 hours of prime time for the major Italian TV broadcasters.

FRANCISCO E CORDERO Global Executive Producer. BTF Media (Mexico, Argentina & Spain)

Francisco Cordero is a founding partner of BTF Media, a production company of audiovisual content with a disjunctive vision and different focuses, and is in charge of the successful series, “Hasta que te conocí” and “Su nombre era Dolores” and “El César”, products that have reached the highest levels of viewership in the Hispanic United States and Latin American markets. His participation goes from the incubation phase until the international distribution of the project, passing through general and executive production. At the moment, he holds a co-production agreement with Disney Media Distribution Latam for the creation of fiction contents and other genres, and is at the stage of creating the biopic series about Diego Armando Maradona and Isabel Pantoja.

COVADONGA ESPESO Scriptwriter, Creative director (Spain)

She has been Creative Director of Televisa Internacional in Europe until recently, dedicating herself to the selection and adaptation of Latin American series formats for the European market, and to the development of original series for Mexico and the Hispanic market in the United States, such as Antes Muerta que Lichita, (Televisa, Univision) and La Esquina del Diablo (UniMás). In Spain she was the head writer of the Spanish adaptation of Ugly Betty, Yo Soy Bea, and also worked as a writer for Periodistas (Telecinco), Un Paso Adelante (Antena 3), and Al Filo de la Ley (TVE). She currently combines her work as a writer on the series Amar Es Para Siempre (Antena 3) with the development of scripted content for the Latin American market.

CAROLINA GONZÁLEZ Scriptwriter and Content Director of Lavinia Audiovisual (Argentina)

She studied Filmmaking and Screenwriting, and started her career in television at the late-live show “Caiga quien caiga”, she then became a part of the script-adaptation team for the series “Married with children” and, “The Nanny” for Telefe Argentina. Since 2006, she has been part of the authoring teams for series produced by Underground Producciones. She participates as a screenwriter in series such as “Lalola” and, “Los Exitosos Pells” (adapted in various countries, including Spain) and for “Botineras” and “Viudas e hijos del Rock&Roll”, among others. Between 2013 and 2017 she was in charge of the development of new projects at Underground Producciones. This includes Argentinian projects for internationals brands, such as TNT and Netflix, and especially co-productions between Argentina and Spain. Currently, she is the Content Director of the production company Lavinia Audiovisual.

ALEXANDER KEIL Producer. SquareOne Entertainment (Germany)

Alexander Keil is Producer at SquareOne Entertainment, a leading content and distribution engine headquartered in Munich, Germany founded by its CEO Al Munteanu in 2002. The company is active in the development, production and distribution of award-winning and commercial national and international feature films and television series.

Previously Alexander was Producer at Producers at Work and Red Arrow Entertainment Group in Berlin and worked at the Los Angeles based premier global talent agencies UTA and Gersh representing screenwriters and directors. Alexander graduated from Berlin film school DFFB and completed his degree in business administration at FU Berlin and Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. He is specialized in producing national- and international co-productions and is a member of EAVE.

CHARLINE DE LÉPINE Producer and scriptwriter. Macondo (France)

Charline de Lépine was an associate producer at Son et Lumière for 16 years and produced many one-off dramas and series, of which ”Avocats et associés” and ”Engrenages”. In 2006, she set up the Macondo company, focusing on quality drama. After several procedural dramas and mini-series, Macondo successfully produced ”Les hommes de l’ombre” the first series on the world of French politics. The second series will be broadcast soon and meanwhile, Charline de Lépine is developing a new series on the world of television during the 60’s, focusing on the emancipation of women “Speakerines”.

DAVID PINILLOS Director, editor (Spain)

His directorial debut with the film Bon Appétit granted him a Goya Award for Best New Director in 2011. He also vast experience as an editor, an activity in which he is still engaged. Some of the films he has been involved with include “Combustión”, “Invasor”, “Primos”, “Gordos”, “La vergüenza” or the award-winning “La Herida”.
Over the past few years, David has devoted himself mainly to directing television fiction for series such as “Tiempos de Guerra” (Antena 3), “Las Chicas del Cable” (Netflix), “Velvet” (Antena 3), or “The Refugees”, a coproduction between La Sexta -Spain- and BBC -UK-, among others.

DIEGO RAMIREZ SCHREMPP Founding partner and executive producer. Dynamo (Colombia)

He studied finance and international relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia with a postgraduate degree in international economics from the University of Basel – Switzerland. Diego worked for 7 years at Accenture as a strategy consultant for the banking sector (offices in Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Madrid). He subsequently worked 3 years for De La Rue in London as part of the executive team of business development, leading projects for emerging markets. Diego is one of the founding partners of DYNAMO and currently works as Executive Producer, leading the development and production of premium series. During 2016 and 2017 Diego supervised the production of Narcos and is currently leading Falco, the first Dynamo series made in Mexico. Diego is also the showrunner of the first Colombian series for Netflix, now in development.
