·} EDITORIAL COMMITTE SHORT-FORM SERIES

The Conecta FICTION 5 PITCH SHORT-FORM SERIES Editorial Committee is made up of professional experts and senior executives from the audiovisual industry. They were in charge of reviewing and evaluating the international short-form series projects received during our call for projects. From all submitted projects, 5 of them were selected to be presented in a pitching session during our international event, at the Baluarte, Pamplona-Iruña (Navarra, Spain).

CONTENT COORDINATOR

Playz – RTVE (Spain)

Agustín Alonso is content coordinator for Playz, RTVE’s youth channel, and he is part of the original content team for the future RTVE OTT platform. As a member of the RTVE Digital content team, he has participated in the development and production of projects that have won, among other awards, an Ondas, a Golden Globe at the Hamburg Media Festival, a Gold Lovie, nominations for the Webbys, a Gold Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate & TV Awards or a New York International Film and TV Festival Silver Medal.

Pedro Boucherie Mendes was head of cable channels at SIC for 10 years. Currently, he is the Director of Strategic Planning and Insight at SIC. He’s a journalist and a writer, author of two books about television. He has also published several articles on this subject in newspapers and magazines.

Maria Garcia-Castrillón has been working for almost 20 years in the international audiovisual sector. She is currently Director of International Business Development at Dopamine. A Mexican Studio within the Salinas group dedicated to the international production of fiction and entertainment, based in Mexico but also in Spain. Her experience also comes from working for nearly 14 years in Boomerang TV, as co-production director but also responsible for international distribution, going to audiovisual markets not only to set up co-productions, such as “Inés del Alma Mía”, but also to sell formats, such as NBC’s adaptation of the series “The Mysteries of Laura”.

Patricia Jasin, assumes her role as VP of Azteca Internacional in January 2018 to lead all international businesses of Tv Azteca, one of the world’s leading Spanish-language content creators. Her main responsibilities are International Content Distribution and the leadership of the company’s entire Pay TV business, including Programming, Content Creation and Production, Sales and Distribution of the 4 International Pay TV Channels, as well as the Distribution of Tv Azteca’s 9 signals in Mexico. In 2021 she assumes the General Management of Azteca Estudios. In her new position, Patricia Jasin adds to her responsibilities the task of creating and executing the transformation strategy of Azteca Estudios. The 25,000 m2 production facility located in Mexico City, which was initially created to supply the company’s own needs, has now become the strategic partner par excellence for production services, facilities, co-production and strategic alliances with producers from all over the world.

Marcelo Liberini es an executive with more than 20 years in leadership positions in the media industry. He has successfully directed strategic areas and complex projects in the Digital Media, Digital Entertainment, Interactivity and New Technologies Markets. He is an executive producer of transmedia products based on intellectual property in the child and youth area. He is currently in charge of the digital equipment of Caracol Televisión, the main media organization in Colombia, where he has produced more than 100 audiovisual series of short formats.
